I am a soccer player, a soccer coach, and a soccer administrator. I’ve played the game my entire life and I’ve played at almost every level of the game. I remember when I was 8 years old I would study my dad’s coaching manuals. Then, I would talk soccer strategy with my uncles; trying to convince him of my point of view.
I’ve watched for years as the framework of soccer, from youth levels to professional levels has been fundamentally the same with little change. Some things are tried and true, but there are others aspects of the game that makes me shake my head, wondering why do players and coaches still play the game in the same and almost always with the same outcome.
I sat too long in silence not knowing how to present a different perspective of the game and how things can be done with a positive outcome. I created this blog to preset ideas and suggestions to provide potential improvements to the game.
